68 Summit St. was once headquarters for an international maritime ship builder from the turn of the century to the late 1960's.

The industry left NY harbor and was outsourced to other countries like North Korea and Poland.  The building sat dormant and was used for storage. Eventually, fire damaged several sections and the building was abandoned. In 1982 the new owners took on a massive undertaking and did a gut rehab of the building including all new plumbing, electric and mechanicals.  68 Summit St. has became a home to many startups and creative businesses over the years.
